2009 Driver Information:
  1. Helmets and seat belts must be worn during race. Even if disqualified.
  2. NO RIDERS! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  3. Registration ends at 6:45 pm. cars and drivers must be registered before this time.
  4. Cars must be removed from grounds by noon on the following day.
  5. All drivers must sign a release form. 18 Years and older must sign their own forms, 16 to 18 years must have a parents signature. Drivers must sign the forms, not pit crew members or wives.
  6. No alcoholic beverages allowed in pit area. Any driver or crew member under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs prior or during the derby disqualifies car and driver with the loss of entry fee.
  7. Entry fee includes car, 1- driver and 1- pit member for $40.00. Driver may purchase additional pit passes at $10.00 each. You must have a pit pass to enter pit area.
  8. You may enter as many cars as many cars as you wish, but the car you qualify with is the one you must drive in the feature race. NO SWITCHING CARS OR DRIVERS!
  9. Any driver having conflict with a vehicle must pay a $100.00 put up or shut up fee. There will be no inspections after the race has started. If you have a problem with a car you must make your claim known before the derby has started. If inspector and complaining driver find problem driver gets his $100.00 back. If no problem is found, driver of protested car gets the $100.00, the driver of protested car, judge, driver protesting the car will be the only people to inspect the car.
  10. Anyone that does not follow the rules may be disqualified.
  11. Any driver or pit member that gets in an unruly mannor or causes a fight will be escorted out by police officers. If any winnings are coming to this person they will be forfeited.
  12. All drivers must remain in car until race has stopped, with the exception of a danger to driver.

2009 Car Rules:

  1. Passenger Cars only will be allowed to compete. This is for both full size and compact cars. any year car is welcome except: No trucks, vans, el caminos, hearses, limousines, Chrysler Imperials, SUV's or 4 wheel drive vehicles.
  2. Compact cars only: Front or rear wheel drives are legal. Wheel base cannot be over 105" 4cyl or 6cyl engines are allowed. Cars must run with stock engines.
  3. Compacts will run between consolation and main event.
  4. There will be only one compact heat. Cost is $40.00 to enter, if enough entries show.
  5. All glass, chrome, molding, fiberglass and plastic parts must be removed before entering pit area, this includes door handles and mirriors. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  6. All plastic and metal trim must be removed from the passenger compartments of the vehicle. The dash may be left in the car; however it is recommeded that is is removed.
  7. Stock gas tank must be removed and replaced with a marine type gas tank mounted behind drivers seat approx. middle way of the vehicle. Fuel tank must have a rubber mat under it, if held in with chains the chains must be wrapped with rubber or duct tape. fuel cells are allowed. only 6 gal. of fuel is allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  8. Bumpers may be welded to the frame.
  9. All doors can be welded, bolted or chained. nothing can be on the outside. drivers and passengers doors may be reinforced on the inside, this is for the safety of driver.
  10. Fenders and bumpers may be cut for wheel clearance.
  11. Hood may be secured with 4 pieces of 3/4" all thread and 2 pieces of chain. Chain may be wrapped through hood and once around the bumper, chain sizes are to be 3/8" or 1/2" NO LARGER NO EXCEPTIONS!
  12. Trunk may be secured with 2 pieces of 3/4" all thread and 2 pieces of chain. chain may be wrapped through the trunk and once around the bumper, chain must not be larger than 1/2" NO EXCEPTIONS!
  13. Body bushings may be removed, washers will be no larger than 6" x 6"
  14. Rear end gears may be welded in order to make positive traction.
  15. External Transmission cooler will be allowed.
  16. Radiator and fan must be mounted in stock position. no electric fans will be allowed. the only coolant allowed is water or natural anti-freeze. some additional straps may be added to secure radiator, such as zip ties, ratchet straps, bailing wire, mesh wire or foam.
  17. Engines must be mounted in stock position.
  18. Welding or chaining motor to frame is allowed.
  19. One or two 12 volt car batteries are allowed, batteries must be securely mounted in a battery box and covered with a rubber floor mat or other rubber material.
  20. No alcohol engines will be allowed.
  21. Straight exhaust, headers, stacks, open manifolds are allowed, no exhaust pipes in passenger compartment of vehicle.
  22. All cars must have working brakes before entering arena.
  23. All cars must have working seat belts.
  24. Sagging suspension may be raised to a maximum of 19" in height. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  25. All cars must have a maximum of 15" tires may be used, tires may only contain air, Inner tubes are recommended, only stock wheels may be used with no reinforcements, automotive type tires only DOT read specified, no off-road tires. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  26. Tailgate may be chained or bolted in four places or more but not to the frame. do not weld washers to holes. trunk lids must have 12" inspection hole cut in lid.
  27. All cars must be clean of all debris prior to event.
  28. All cars must a 24" hole cut in hood over carburetor.
  29. Drivers may have a 2" bar or pipe run behind drivers seat from post to post and above steering wheel from post to post.
  30. No added steel, wood, foam, concrete, sand or other foreign substance allowed in fenders or doors, except drivers door. humps may be welded.
  31. Numbers must be painted on both front door and roof large enough to read from stands. no profanity on the care or you will not race.
  32. No extra gasoline, either or flammable substance will be in car during the race.
  33. All cars will be inspected before the race. judges reserve the right to drill four 1/2" holes in the body and the frame of any care that is being suspected of being illegally loaded with steel, wood or other foreign substance. JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL!
  34. Another driver may inspect any car during inspection, but a judge must be present at all times.
